Pastor Daren’s Quote: “He is the head of the body, the church. He’s our head. He’s the one that guides us… He’s the one that controls the hands, the feet, the body, teaching us to listen.”

Bible Verse: Colossians 1:18 (NKJV) – “And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”

As believers, we are part of the body of Christ, but it is Jesus alone who is the Head. Pastor Daren reminded us that Christ is the one who guides and directs us as His church. Just as the head controls the movements of the body, so Christ directs every part of our lives. He is not only the leader but the One who gives us life, purpose, and direction. Colossians 1:18 calls us to recognize that in all things, Jesus is to have the highest place—preeminence. This means that He should be at the center of every decision, every action, and every relationship within the church. As we yield to His leadership, we experience the fullness of being part of His body. Today, reflect on how Jesus is guiding you and how you can submit to His leadership in all areas of your life, both personally and as part of His church.

Reflection Question: Is Jesus truly the Head of my life and decisions? How can I give Him preeminence in areas where I’ve been relying on my own understanding?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus as Head of His Church and the Lord of my life. Holy Spirit, teach me to fully submit to Christ’s leadership. Remind me that it is only through Him that I find my direction, purpose, and strength. Guide me to live each day with Jesus in the highest place, letting His will direct my thoughts and actions. Help me to be a faithful member of His body, trusting His wisdom in all things. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalm: Psalm 25:4-5 (NKJV) – “Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.”
